2016 MRSD alumnus Rohit Dashrathi founded Rucha Yantra LLP. Yantra is a tech start-up based in India that is working to solve the problems in the field of material handling with Mobile Robotics – or as they call it, “Mobotics.” An R&D organization by nature, Yantra specializes in indigenous designing and development, as well as manufacturing of mobile robotic systems for industrial and commercial applications.
Within its first two years, Yantra has acquired a place in the Top 3 indigenous manufacturers of Auto Guided Vehicles (AGVs) in India. It launched a new series of Adaptable AGVs called “RAGHAV.” Products from this series can adapt to the existing conditions of the operating environment by relying on the M-SENSE (Patent Pending)/Colour SENSE path guidance technologie s, which were invented in-house. Unlike traditional magnetic tapes or laser guided paths, M-SENSE is maintenance-free and three times more robust, while Colour Sense offers speedy track implementation and easier expandability. Moreover, the Mobile Application Control adds great value to the user-friendliness of the product. Yantra has come up with a variety of solutions to eliminate the non-value adding activities involved with material handling on shop floors, as well as on outdoor premises of manufacturing plants.
